FAQ's

Q. Who will review my financial affairs with me?

We use a team approach in solving financial problems and managing all client accounts. In addition to our personal experience, we use LPL Financial’s research department. Clients can expect that Richard and Craig Cutler are involved in all account managing decisions.

Q. What type of Investments do you use?

We prefer to use a combination of index funds and professional institutional money managers. Index funds are used to potentially reduce cost and gain efficiencies for certain investment categories. We try to assemble the best money manager talent today and combine them with our passive approach to enhance the portfolio. Our goal is to keep overall expenses low. We believe lower expenses can help clients build more assets over the long term. Our platforms allow us to access almost every type of investment offered including ETF’s, Individual Stocks, Bonds, Precious Metals and Annuities.

*No strategy assures success or protects against loss. Investing in mutual funds involves risk, including possible loss of principal.

Q. How are you compensated?

We detail our compensation structure here.

In the case of insurance and annuity products, advisors are paid by commission from the insurance company.

Q. How do you set your fees?

Fees are set on a case by case basis. There are many factors that influence the advisory fee that is charged. After the complementary initial meeting, we will send a proposal outlining our fees for the potential relationship.

Q. Are there regulatory disclosures that I may review?

We provide all prospective clients with our ADV (and supplements).

The ADV form is a required submission to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) by a professional investment advisor that specifies the investment style, assets under management and key officers of the firm. The form must be updated annually and be made available as public record for companies managing in excess of $25 million.
